Testing, Part I
Testing for COVID-19 is essential. It means we can find cases and isolate them early in the disease, ideally before they start shedding virus.
In the US, we’re nowhere near testing as many people as we need to be, but we are testing more everywhere. That includes in San Antonio, Texas. Expect to see the number of cases rise.
In San Antonio, we just doubled the number of positives.
Don’t be scared. This means we’re *finding* the cases that are already out there, identifying and isolating and identifying and testing their contacts.
The numbers will go up at first. That means public health is doing its job.
